Cancellation and rescheduling policy

I know that plans can change and sometimes you genuinely can't make an appointment. At the same time, your session is time that I've set aside specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for at least 48 hours' notice whenever possible. This gives me a chance to offer the appointment to someone else.

Cancellation fees

  1. 48 hours or moreNo cancellation fee

  2. Less than 48 hours50% of the session fee

  3. No-showFull session fee

One courtesy same-day cancellation each year

I understand that unexpected situations come up and sometimes giving 48 hours' notice simply isn't possible.

Each client can use one courtesy same-day cancellation per calendar year without being charged a cancellation fee.

This courtesy doesn't apply to a no-show. If you miss your appointment without contacting me, the full session fee will apply.

How to cancel or reschedule

You can email me at info@intentionallivingpsych.ca or call (226) 698-7740.

If you leave a voicemail, the time your message is received will count as the time you gave notice, so you don't need to wait for me to call you back.

If you're asking to reschedule, your new appointment isn't booked until I've confirmed the new date and time with you.

Need to switch an in-person session to virtual?

If you have an in-person individual therapy appointment and something makes it difficult to get to the office, I may be able to switch your session to virtual instead.

You'll need to be physically located in Ontario and have a private space where you can attend the session. Whether I'm able to make the change will also depend on the appointment and availability.

Please contact me as early as you can if you'd like to switch formats. If I haven't confirmed the change, your original in-person appointment is still considered booked.

Cancellation fees and insurance

Cancellation and no-show fees may not be covered by your insurance plan. If you're unsure, I recommend checking directly with your insurer.
